Steering wheel
Hands-off Detection (HOD) is an important technology in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It can monitor whether the driver's hands have left the steering wheel to ensure driving safety in automatic driving or assisted driving modes. When autonomous driving technology is not yet fully mature, the assisted driving function still requires the driver to take over the vehicle at any time. The hands-off detection function can issue a warning when the driver's hands leave the steering wheel, reminding them to hold the steering wheel again, thereby avoiding potential risks. This steering wheel adopts capacitive detection technology. A capacitive hands-off detection system usually consists of a hands-off monitoring controller and a sensor pad. The sensor pad is integrated between the steering wheel frame and the leather, forming a capacitive field. When the driver's hands approach or touch the steering wheel, the capacitive field changes. The sensor determines whether the hands have left the steering wheel by detecting such changes.
The foldable steering wheel is an innovative automotive design aimed at optimizing the utilization of interior space, enhancing driving convenience, and supporting the development of autonomous driving technology.
The heart rate monitoring steering wheel is a car steering wheel integrated with a heart rate monitoring function. This steering wheel adopts the principle of electrode detection. The cowhide on both sides of the steering wheel is a type of cowhide with conductive function, which is equivalent to two electrodes. When the driver holds the steering wheel with both hands, the electrodes measure the heart rate by detecting the human body's bioelectrical signals.
The multifunctional steering wheel integrates a variety of functions, mainly including volume control, cruise control system, trip computer information display, phone and multimedia control, etc. Through the buttons on the steering wheel, drivers can easily adjust the volume of the audio system, set the cruise control to maintain a constant speed, check real-time vehicle information such as speed and fuel consumption, as well as answer or hang up calls and switch songs while driving. In addition, some multifunctional steering wheels also have functions such as navigation control, seat and rearview mirror adjustment, and brake and accelerator assistance. For example, voice commands can be used to zoom in or out of the map and query routes; they can control functions like seat heating, ventilation and massage, as well as the folding and adjustment of rearview mirrors; and they can remind drivers to pay attention to excessive braking or accelerator depression through sound or vibration. The design of the multifunctional steering wheel enables drivers to adjust the center console without frequently taking their hands off the steering wheel, which improves driving safety and convenience. By integrating multiple function buttons, drivers can perform various operations more conveniently while maintaining their focus on the road.
The heated steering wheel is a configuration that enhances driving comfort in cold weather. A pad covered with heating resistance wires is wrapped on the surface of the leather-sewn rim body of the steering wheel or the surface of the first layer of foam body. The resistance wire pad is connected to both the power supply and the temperature controller. Heat is generated through the heating of the resistance wires and transferred to the cowhide, raising the temperature of the grip surface.
